I work at an organization that offers clothes, food and education assistance to those who need it. Probably 95% of people I deal with daily are spanish. I have a translator that stays with me, but often times I think it would be easier if I just knew a little spanish to help other people or to help myself when my translator is not with me. I don’t want to spend a great deal of money on lessons or software to learn. So, any suggestions?

I am a 7th grade teacher with basic computer knowledge. I can cut and paste…lol

I have managed to scan and copy to word but cannot get the info to paste onto the alta vista translation page. If I just type on wordpad then I can cut and paste it onto the alta vista translation page and print it…. but when I try to do it with my scanned image it doesn’t work. I know it has something to do with the type of file like jpeg or something like that but that is where I become illiterate.

please help, i have no idea what to pick. should i pick a spanish speaking country and have each lessons focus on a different aspect of the country. this would have to be appropriate for high school students.
